SPL celebrates 25th year anniversary
SPL is 25 years old!
On Thursday, May 5th, SPL celebrated its 25th anniversary with a warm reunion of current members and alumni of SPL.
Professor Mazzotti gave a speech, starting from the memories of the first week of establishing his research group at ETH Zurich. He continued with achievements of the group over the past 25 years in terms of research in academia and collaboration with industry. He brought everyone's attention on today's world crises: Covid -19, climate change and war. He stressed out the potential role of research done at SPL to adress the first two crises, for example the role of crystallization in manufacturing process of Covid-19 vaccines, and the role of CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) in tackling greenhouse gas emissions.
He is proud of achievements of the group in the past 25 years and looks forward to further contribution to the advancement of science for the benefit of society in the next few years.
