The Group

Vision
To develop efficient, safe, and sustainable processes for high quality products and environmentally responsible systems. 

Mission
To educate future engineers and scientists, trained in the development of economically optimized and environmentally beneficial separation processes, by carrying out cutting edge research in crystallization processes, adsorption-based separations, and CCS systems.

SPL personnel consists of Prof. Marco Mazzotti, a part-time administrative assistant, a chemical lab technician, a workshop technician, two scientists shared with the Swiss Seismic Service (affiliated to ETH/ERDW) and with the lab of Prof. Parrinello (ETH/CHAB, located in Lugano), a couple of post-doc research associates and ten to twenty doctoral students are present too.
