Introduction to Chemical Engineering
The lecture will be read during the summer semester only and will introduce fundamentals of Chemical Engineering such as
Thermodynamics
- Phase Diagrams
- Flash Separation
- Kinetic Gas Theory
- Ideal Reactors
- Particle Formation and Solubility
Assistants
For lectures on thermodynamics and binary phase diagrams, flash distillation and solid liquid equilibrium the assistants are Stefano Zanco in ML G 24 and Fabio Salvatori in ML G 25.
For lectures on reactor design the assistant is Fabio Salvatori in ML G 25.
You are always welcome to come to the office and ask questions on the exercises or the lecture. In order to make sure somebody is there (and not in the lab), please send a short email in advance.
Script
We are constantly working on the script. You will find the newest version (which will be changed after the lectures) as a PDF download. There can be updates. Please come back to this page and check for updates!
Testat, Exercises, and Sample Examination Questions
No testat is required for admission to the final examination. We still encourage you to hand in the exercises. Exercises that are handed in are corrected and handed back the following week.
Exercises are uploaded before the lecture. The corresponding solution is uploaded the following week.
